Fort Uncompahgre takes a curricular approach to developing outdoor activities and lessons by utilizing the Five Es inquiry-based learning approach. Blending content with the natural environment from both historical and environmental perspectives creates new and innovative ways to explore local history and culture.

A vast majority of our outdoor educational programming is a aligned with Colorado Academic Standards in History, Science, Mathematics and much more.
